Common Questions
We know your health is important, and we understand how making decisions for yourself or your family might seem overwhelming. Whether you’re seeing a chiropractor for the first time or returning for continued care, our providers and support team want you to feel comfortable about the process!
Here are a few frequently asked questions that might help:
Do I need a referral?
No, you can call our office directly to schedule an appointment. We try to schedule patients in acute pain as soon as possible.
Do you accept insurance?
Our doctors are in-network with many insurance plans, including commercial insurance, Medicare, no fault/car accident, and worker’s compensation plans. In the case we don’t accept your insurance you may be able to submit for out of network coverage, depending on your plan. We also offer affordable cash rates for patients that don’t currently have health coverage.
Is chiropractic care affordable?
Your individual cost depends on your health insurance plan, but chiropractic care is less expensive than urgent care or other specialist visits that can often cost hundreds of dollars. At RFC, accessibility and affordability are part of our core values!
Is chiropractic care safe for me?
Our highly trained doctors specialize in different techniques and working with different patients of all ages in all stages of life. Chiropractic care is safe, gentle, and effective for people that have had previous back or neck surgery or other previous injury, during pregnancy, and even babies and kids.
How soon will you schedule my appointment?
We know it can be frustrating to call a provider or specialist and have to wait weeks or months for an appointment. At RFC we work hard to schedule new and returning patients as soon as possible, and often can offer same-day appointments for people in acute pain or need to be seen urgently.
I've never seen a chiropractor before. What should I expect?
On your first visit our doctors will take a thorough history and perform a physical examination of the area(s) that’s bothering you. Afterwards we’ll explain to you what we think is causing your pain, and recommend a treatment plan that we think will help you meet your goals. If care is appropriate for you, we’ll talk you through treatment and treat on the same day.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Dress in clothes that are comfortable for you. You may be asked to move around during your visit or demonstrate a stretch or exercise given as part of your home care.
